You can’t have happy customers without first having happy employees. That is why we’re so proud to have been named a Top Workplace in 2015 by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
The Top Workplaces are determined based solely on employee feedback. The employee survey is conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, a research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. Data is gathered through a 22-question survey that focuses on three critical elements of the workplace: organizational health, employee engagement and job satisfaction. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch published the complete list of Top Workplaces on June 28.
“The success of Office Essentials depends in large part on providing our employees with the environment they need to do exceptional work,” said Kate Dougherty, VP of Sales and Marketing at Office Essentials. “That’s a value built into our culture, and it’s why we’re so proud to have received such great feedback from the talented people who work here.”
Office Essentials was ranked 21st out of 45 in the survey’s “Small” category, made up of companies with 50-149 St. Louis-based employees. Other winners in our category included TLC Vision, UHY Advisors, Renaissance Financial and Perficient.
“As Office Essentials continues to grow, the importance of making sure all of our employees are engaged and satisfied could not be greater. This honor affirms that we are on the right path,” said Kate Dougherty. “We will continue our commitment to our employees and to a workplace that produces exceptional value and innovation for our customers.”
In all, 164 companies, nonprofit groups and government agencies, employing more than 74,000 people in the St. Louis area, participated in the survey with the top 100 winning the award across Small, Medium and Large categories.
To ensure that the survey results were accurate, there was a required response rate of at least 35 percent of employees. OE’s response rate was 70%.
